As of 2023, we saw the last of the Dodge Challenger muscle cars leave the production lines. We still have some new 2023 Dodge Challengers remaining. Once they are sold, we will not have any more new gasoline-powered Dodge Challengers for sale. The new Dodge Challenger of the future will be an electric Challenger SRT muscle car.
The Dodge Challenger has a number of engine choices. The standard Challenger engine is a 305-horsepower V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The V6 nets up to 19 miles per gallon around town and up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The Challenger's drive is smooth and comfortable. Other Challenger available engines run the gamut from HEMI V8s that start with a 375-horsepower, 5.7-liter engine and go up to a 485-horsepower, 6.4 liter HEMI V8. At the very top of the Challenger lineup is the 805-horsepower, supercharged V8 SRT Super Stock. The HEMI V8s come standard with a manual transmission, but the eight-speed automatic is available. Acceleration is king. All-wheel drive is an available feature.
Your new Dodge Challenger has a distinctive muscle car look that is reminiscent of retro muscle cars with a squared body, fenders and a flared rear end. The Challenger even has a vented hood. You can get your Challenger in some of the retro colors of the past, such as Sublime Green, B5 Blue and Plum Crazy. You will definitely stand out as you drive. The roomy cabin seats five. Available interior features include ambient lighting and faux-suede seating.
The Dodge Challenger comes in six trim models. Some of the trim models have an available Widebody Package that add performance and appearance features, such as performance suspension and tires, wide body fender flares, damping suspension and six-piston front caliper brakes.
Even though the exterior look is classic, tough and retro, inside the Dodge Challenger there is no lack of modern technology. The infotainment touchscreen is standard and has Apple and Android connectivity. Also, a premium audio system is available.
