How powerful is the 2022 Ram 2500?
The Ram 2500's engine lineup has no bad options and certainly no lack of power. The standard engine option is a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine that pushes out 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. This allows drivers to tow up to 17,540 pounds. However, if you need more towing capacity, you should turn to the 6.2L Cummins TurboDiesel I-6 engine that pumps out 370 horsepower and a whopping 850 lb-ft of torque, giving you up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity. Both engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission that powers the rear wheels. However, 4x4 is available for all trim levels while standard on the rugged Power Wagon.
